Happy Weekend!
March 27, 2009Smell the Cherry Blossoms
March 23, 2009My mom is a Southwest flight attendant and yesterday I found out that she and I will be walking in the Cherry Blossom parade in Washington, DC to support Southwest. I am assuming that they’re a sponsor, hence their call to all flight attendants and their family members who are available to walk. My mom and I love ourselves a good parade and I’ve always wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms in DC, so we jumped on the opportunity.
So, when Lisa of Lime in the Coconut had a post about Cherry Blossom inspired cocktails, I had to take a peek! Maybe mom and I will celebrate post-parade with one of these drinks. I only think it would be fitting . . .
Maybe we’ll go to Asia Nine and try all three of their cherry blossom inspired cocktails! I know, we’re wild . . . !
Make Mine a Barrel!
March 22, 2009Capt. and I are going to an engagement party in New York in a couple weeks. The friends whose wedding we’re celebrating enjoy their booze, so we’re getting them this . . .
We’re such suckers for good packaging!

March 13, 2009St. Patrick . . . one of the few saints whose feast day presents the opportunity to get determinedly whacked and make a fool out of oneself all under the guise of acting Irish. – Charles M. Madigan

February 27, 2009“On a stop light green means go, red means stop and yellow means slow down, but on a banana it’s just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means, ‘where the fuck did you get that banana at?'”

Happy Weekend!
February 20, 2009Hola Texas!
February 19, 2009I am currently in the air, flying to Texas! Yee Ha!
I only hope that during my two-day stay (for work), I can get out and enjoy some good Texas cookin’! Yum, yum, yum!
Oh my Mama, ain’t that Texas cookin’ somethin’
Oh my Mama, it stops your belly and backbone from bumpin’
Oh my Mama, ain’t that Texas cookin’ good
Oh my Mama, I’d eat it every day if I could

Have a Happy Weekend!
February 6, 2009“You know what’d be good on this burger? A ham sandwich. Instead of a bun, let’s use two donuts. That way we can have it for breakfast. Look out McGriddle-here comes the donut-ham-hamburger!” – Jim Gaffigan
